About
The EROS research collective is a collection of like-minded researchers. EROS is an acronym Emergent Researchers in Organisational Systems.
Emergent because we are early career researchers. The researchers we will be is emerging out of our work. Also because our perspectives on organisations and a range of topics favour a perspective based more on emergence. More bottom up, rather than top-down.
Organisational systems because it fits the acronym. But it also represents our view that almost all organisations must use technology and you cannot separate out an examination of the organisation from that of the technology, or vice versa, without losing something.
This isn’t to assume that technology is the most important factor in modern organisations. It’s not. But information technology, especially in some of its more modern forms, provides an opportunity to re-think the how, what and why of organisations. Those questions require consideration and reflection on the factors that emerge out of the combination, the mixing together, of organisations, their people and information technology.
